On behalf of Chal-Brit Regional Emergency Medical Services, I would like to thank you and commend your staff, especially Mr. Shawn Gerety, for your extraordinary efforts in making our new building a success. The professionalism, attention to detail, and the manner in which Mr. Gerety has handled problems has been simply astounding. The building is being completed on schedule, on budget, and looks far superior to anything we might have reasonably imagined. Once completed and landscaped, it will truly be an asset to the community in both form and function.
Above all, you should know that when Mr. Gerety first arrived on the scene, we were within days of offering the contract to Morton Buildings, and quite frankly, gave your representative the opportunity to meet with us perhaps more out of courtesy, than intent.
Shawn quickly impressed us with his knowledge of the process, and moreover, when he did not have an answer, he did not make one up…he told us he did not know, but that he would find out, and then quickly did. We were so impressed that he literally stole the contract from your competition. As you may know, we are also now working with Mr. Gerety on the Fire Company building and that we intend to invite your company to provide proposals for two additional municipally owned buildings we plan to construct in the near future.
After 30 years in this business, including nearly a decade as a Senior Vice President of Heritage Building Group, and as V.P. of the NJ / NY Division of Pulte Homes, I understand the construction business and the impact a good employee can have upon a company reputation and referrals.
